Heat & Glo i30 Gas Fireplace

Air &Water  installed Heat & Glo i30 Supreme and Regency i31 gas fireplaces recently at a character home in Cottesloe WA. The owners were looking for  replacement fires to fit into their two existing fireplaces. By choosing gas log fires they had the beauty of a realistic looking log fire without the mess of a wood fire.

The home owners opted for a traditional look with Heat n Glo i30 Supreme gas fireplace with black trim for their formal lounge. The fire matched beautifully with the gorgeous intricate fire surround and traditional burgundy tiles.  The i30 replaced an unflued wood fire which was ineffective as all the heat was lost up the chimney. Whilst a heat proof surface is not necessary for a gas fire, the tile hearth was left to give an authentic look in keeping with the home. The fire was installed with a black back plate to draw the eye to the inviting fire. When the fire is off the eye is drawn to the detailing of the fire surround. The i30 was chosen for its realistic log set and suitable proportions for the fireplace.

The Regency i31 gas fire place was installed in the study and replaced an old i31.  It is smaller than the i30 and better suited to the smaller and simpler fire surround it was installed into.

As you would expect for a multi-million dollar property, the quality of the installation was very important. Dave, Air and Water’s installer, visited the home before the fires were installed so he could check the flue required and any issues or modifications required to install the fires.
