Renewable Energy Buyback Scheme
This is a net feed-in tariff as you receive credit for the power you sell back to the grid. A gross feed-in tariff credits you for all the power you produce.
Your retailer will apply for the renewable energy buyback scheme on your behalf. Synergy / Horizon will have to change or reprogramme your meter so you can sell power back to the grid.
The renewable energy buyback scheme is available for residential premises, educational and not for profit institutions up to a 5kW limit. Refer Synergy for full terms and conditions. If you fall under Horizon the limits are 10 kW single phase and 30 kW three phase, refer to Horizon's site for terms and conditions.
