Unfortunately not every retailer will consider your needs and there are so many new entrants to the solar energy market it can be difficult to ensure that you get the right system to meet your needs and budget. Here are the main things to look out for:

A competitively priced good quality system
Appropriate system design - a poorly designed and located photovoltaic system is a waste of your money
Ask the retailer what energy your solar system should produce and what the minimum and maximum payback period is for your system, so you can judge if the investment is worthwhile
An aesthetic system - do you know what the inverter, panels and mounting system look like, do you know where the inverter and panels will be located?
A system that can be quoted and installed promptly and should anything go wrong a manufacturer and installer who responds promptly. Air and Water provide a 5 year guarantee on their installations.
A quality installation, ask about the installers experience and whether all their installers are electricians. All installers should be accredited.

uses Clean Energy Council approved electricians to install your PV system. They are trained in how to safely install solar energy systems and where to place panels to maximise power generation.
