How Ducted Gas Works
Air from inside is warmed, using clean burning gas, by a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger (located inside the unit) is installed in the roof space. This air is forced through a network of insulated ducts to outlets in each room of the home. These outlets are large to allow the air to be freely discharged into each area. The warmed air is returned to the return air grille located centrally in the home.
The Bonaire B5 star that Air and Water Residential sells has both a primary and a secondary heat exchanger that are over 90% efficient. Its remote control works by modulating the gas valve and modulating the room air fan to minimise wasteful on/off cycling.
